The facility features a large, secure outdoor play area with age-appropriate equipment. Children spend plenty of time outdoors, engaging in physical play and exploring nature. There may also be gardening activities. The building is designed with child safety in mind, featuring soft corners, non-toxic materials, and secure fencing around outdoor areas. Access points are monitored and locked to ensure only authorized individuals can enter. There’s a first aid kit and trained staff on hand at all times to handle any emergencies. The classrooms and play areas are spotless, with an abundance of natural light streaming in through large windows. The space is well-organized, with age-appropriate toys, books, and learning materials accessible to children. There’s a cozy reading nook, art stations, and sensory play areas where kids can explore their creativity. Our staff is certified in child development, first aid, and CPR, but they also have a genuine passion for working with children. WAREHAM, MA — A pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run crash in Wareham Monday night, authorities said. The victim was identified as a 56-year-old man. His name was not released.  The crash happened Monday at about 8:25 p.m. near 3020 Cranberry Highway. Witnesses said they saw a white Ford pickup truck hit the man then flee the scene. The victim was transported to Tobey Hospital in Wareham and pronounced dead.  Anyone with information on the suspect vehicle is asked to contact Wareham police at 508-295-1206 or state police at 508-923- 4205.  Photo: Patch/File
