Fire Rips Hole In Falmouth Home
Crews entered the home and found a large hole in the floor and heavy fire in the basement.

FALMOUTH, MA — A fire left a hole in the floor of a home on Teaticket Highway Sunday evening. Firefighters went to the home shortly before 6 p.m. and found heavy smoke coming from the single-story residence, according to the Falmouth Fire and Rescue Department.
Crews entered the home and found a large hole in the floor and "heavy" fire in the basement. After entering the basement, firefighters were able to bring the fire under control in about 20 minutes.
No injuries were reported. The fire is believed to be accidental, the fire and rescue department said.
