K-9 Bust on Cape Cod Nets Thousands of Rx Pills
Cape Cod K-9 "Dutch" credited with finding drugs and cash in a significant bust.
BOURNE, MA — A 21-year-old Central Massachusetts man driving on Route 6 was found with thousands of Xanax pills, two pounds of marijuana, and over $4,000 in cash.
The man was driving a 2005 Chrysler 300 in Bourne Tuesday when he was stopped by a state trooper for a license plate violation, police said. A subsequent search involving Bourne police dog "Dutch" yielded the drugs and cash, police said.
The suspect is from Berlin in Worcester County. His name was not released. He was charged with intent to distribute class A, C, and D substances.
