Poland Adopts Cape Cod Wind Turbine Setbacks 10 X

There are two terrible categories of community response to industrial noise that are real and must be faced. Home Abandonment, and Suicide.

Poland is an eastern European country on the Baltic Sea. The occupation of Poland is one of the darkest chapters of World War II.

Poland has adopted wind turbine setbacks similar to those of the Cape Cod Commission setbacks of 10 times the height of the turbines to residential homes. The formula in Falmouth would require up to 3000 foot setbacks to just one wind turbine.

Falmouth, Massachusetts is ground zero for poorly placed wind turbines in the United States and possibly the World. Falmouth has two town owned commercial Vestas V-82 type turbines in the 1.65 megawatt class of turbines.

Local politicians in Falmouth advocate the operation of its turbines knowing there are two terrible categories of community response to industrial noise that are real and must be faced.

Home abandonment, and suicide are caused by at least two distinct types of noise regulatory and human annoyance. The local and state officials have been aware of multiple noise warnings prior to the wind turbine installations and made a choice to hide the information including letters, emails and memos from the public.

In 2013 the Town of Falmouth held an election to take down the wind turbines. The town withheld danger warning letters from the manufacturer of the wind turbines until two years after the election.

The town has still not told the public about the August 2010 noise warning letter from Vestas the manufacturer of the wind turbines.

Local town officials allowed citizens of Falmouth to continue to torture their neighbors by withholding danger warnings they had in their hands for years.

Poland plans no tweaks to its wind farm location regulations - dep EnergyMin

Poland no longer considers making any changes to its recently passed wind farm location laws, deputy Energy Minister Andrzej Piotrowski told reporters on the sidelines of the Economic Forum in Krynica.

"We do not foresee an amendment," Piotrowski said of the act regulating the distance of wind farms from inhabited areas. "We wanted to talk about it, assuming that law can always be improved, but now we see no room for dialogue."

The change of stance is a consequence of an open letter to PM Beata Szydlo from the renewable energy lobby PIGEOiR.

"I'm disappointed," the minister said. "It seemed like there could have been a commonsensical discussion."

"Poland's new law which stipulates that wind farms need to be built at a distance of 10x the size of the wind turbine from inhabited areas."

The law has triggered a series of write-offs of wind power assets by major power groups and revision of investment plans. The sector's reaction merited attention from the Energy Ministry and works on tweaks in the act were said to have started.
