First, the Town of Falmouth officials never disclosed an email and letter warning that the two town-owned wind turbines each generate 110 decibels of noise. The town had the warnings prior to construction!

All you have to do is ask the current Select Board why after all these years it still has not been made public on the town website.

Second, The Massachusetts Departement of Environmental Protection brokered a five million dollar American Recovery and Reinvestment Act loan between the Town of Falmouth and the Massachusetts Clean Water trust to build Falmouth Wind II the second town-owned wind turbine.

The loan created a substantial and specific danger to public health or safety related to the implementation or use of covered ARRA funds. The loan should never have been made the warnings were known prior to construction.

Town Meeting Members in June of 2009 at a Special Town Meeting were led to believe the 5 million in ARRA funds was a grant when in fact it was a loan!

In June of 2017, the Massachusetts courts shut down the two nuisance turbines. Residents exposed to wind turbines suffer symptoms, which include sleep disturbance, headache, tinnitus, ear pressure, dizziness, vertigo, nausea, visual blurring, tachycardia, irritability, problems with concentration and memory, and panic episodes.

The Select Board asked Town Meeting for 2.5 to take down the turbines and more down the road which they approved.

Almost three years later the 15-year-old gear-driven wind turbines are still standing taking money out of the taxpayers.
