FALMOUTH, MA — A driver was going twice the speed limit before hitting a utility pole Monday morning, according to police. The crash happened on Sippewissett Road.The driver, a 22-year-old Quincy woman, was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. Police said she was driving 50 mph in a 25 mph zone.The driver was cited for negligent operation of a motor vehicle, a marked lanes violation and speeding, police said.
