Steamship Authority Bus Driver Dies While On Duty In Falmouth

The driver died Sunday while parked at the Palmer lot.

FALMOUTH, MA – A shuttle bus driver for the Steamship Authority died Sunday while on duty in Falmouth, according to reports. The driver was parked at the Palmer Avenue lot with passengers on board at the time of death, Steamship Authority general manager Robert Davis said in a statement to media outlets.

The death occurred Sunday afternoon around 3:30 p.m. The driver has not yet been identified.

In his statement, Davis said the driver had just picked up passengers at the Palmer lot.

"Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with the driver’s family, loved ones and co-workers at this time," Davis said.
