Stove Left On Starts Fire At Falmouth Home
Fire officials said a resident of the Elaine Avenue home forgot to turn the stove off, and the fire spread to the rest of the kitchen.

FALMOUTH, MA — A Falmouth home caught fire Tuesday afternoon because of a kitchen stove being accidentally left on, fire officials said.
Firefighters were called to the Elaine Avenue home around 2 p.m. for a report of a kitchen fire. At first, two fire engines arrived, but then a second call came in from a neighbor who told police a child and their dog came over to let them know the stove fire spread to the kitchen, fire officials said.
Fire officials then upgraded the response to a full alarm fire and sent another fire engine, a ladder truck and an ambulance.
