Wareham Officers Hailed For Saving Woman From Burning Car
Police have charged the woman rescued from the car with OUI.

WAREHAM, MA – The Wareham police chief is praising two of his officers for saving a woman from a burning car last weekend. Around 10:20 p.m. on Dec. 8, a crash was reported in the area of Minot Avenue and Indian Neck Road.
Officer Christopher Corner found the heavily damaged car with its engine on fire. The woman was in the driver's seat, unresponsive, and the passenger door was jammed shut, police said. Corner put out the flames with his fire extinguisher and pulled the woman from the car before the fire started again.
Officer Jennifer Braley arrived and helped carry the woman to safety. Another car involved in the crash had two people inside with non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.
