Framingham Sustainability Committee Seeks New Members

The committee advises the mayor on how to reduce the city's carbon footprint. Applications are due Jan. 8.

FRAMINGHAM, MA — A Framingham committee that's leading the charge on climate change is seeking new members.

The Framingham Sustainability Committee advises the mayor on how to cut carbon emissions and boost energy efficiency. The nine-member committee also has one slot open for a young person between ages 16 and 25.

The committee was just created in October, and so is seeking all new members.

"The FSC is a nine-member advisory committee established to advise the Mayor on how to improve the sustainability of municipal operations as well as support residents and local businesses in reducing waste, improving energy efficiency, adopting renewables, conserving water, and much more."
