History Repeated Itself in Grisly Grafton Murder
It had been nine years since Grafton saw a murder, also one in which a husband allegedly strangled his wife in their home.

GRAFTON, MA — Residents were shocked and saddened two weeks ago when a woman was killed in her home in Grafton.
Kelly Sugarman's husband Michael Sugarman is now being charged with strangling his wife to death in the early hours of April 12 in their home. Sugarman was originally arraigned on charges of assault and battery on a family member a day after he allegedly killed his wife and stabbed himself in the neck, still clutching the knife when police arrived. And last week, he was charged with murder, announced Worcester District Attorney Joseph Early, Jr.
The couple's five-year-old daughter reportedly witnessed the event, and wandered outside onto the busy Route 140, which ultimately brought police to the scene.

Hall, a 65-year-old mechanic in town, was charged with murder and assault and battery after he walked in to the Grafton Police Station and said, "I killed my wife," reported the Worcester Telegram and Gazette.
He allegedly strangled his wife, Judith Hall, 62, in their bedroom early in the morning, in a home they had lived on Old Westboro Road for more than 30 years.
According to the Worcester County District Attorney's office, Hall's case is still considered open, with the court ruling that the Hall is not competent to stand trial at this time. He continues to be monitored.
