Commitee's New Leader 'Moving Ahead' In Advance of Town Meeting

The Finance Advisory Committee has a new chairman after the previous chairman resigned because of concerns about this year's budget process.

The Wenham Finance Advisory Committee has a new leader and is continuing its work headed into Town Meeting after the resignation of its frormer chairman, who said she was concerned about this year's budget process.

The committee elected member Michael Lucy as its new chairman last week. He addressed the Board of Selectmen earlier this week.

"We are moving ahead with the remaining tasks at hand," Lucy said.

A week earlier, Chairman Catherine Harrison resigned, expressing a loss of confidence about the process to develop the fiscal 2014 budget, which will go before voters at Annual Town Meeting next month.
