Deadline for Election-Related Submissions is Tuesday

To readers and users of Hamilton-Wenham Patch,

Traditionally, newspapers do not publish any election-related submissions in the final issue before an election, because if there was a factual error, we wouldn't be able to issue a correction before election day.

It's different for us online, since we're publishing every day, but we'd still like to err on the side of caution.

With Hamilton and Wenham's town election coming up on Thursday, April 11, we have set a deadline of this Tuesday, April 9 for any election-related submissions, such as letters to the editor.

Local Voices blog posts and Announcements may still be posted by Hamilton-Wenham Patch users after the deadline. We exercise our editorial discretion in determining what blog posts and Announcements appear on the homepage and newsletter, and will exercise that discretion leading up to the election as well.
