February Vacation is weeks away, but now is the time to make your plans to attend our popular programs and event at the Wenham Museum.  Legos, award winning children's author and illustrator visit and a supercalifragilisticexpialidocious craft make for a family fun vacation week. 

Wenham Museum’s 5th Annual Lego® Train
Saturday and Sunday, February 15 – 16 (Included with admission)

Come see a rainbow colored L-gauge model train speeding along a brick-track as it races by soaring skyscrapers, country cottages, mountainside ski slopes, and a crazy carnival, all designed with the highest degree of precision by the New England Lego Users Group.

Meet the author and the illustrator of the children's book, Charley 
First Place winner of the 2013 New England Book Festival Regional Literature Award.

President’s Day; Monday, February 17, 2014; 1–3 pm (Included with admission

Pre-register by February 14; Capacity for 30 children, ages 5 and up.
Walk-ins welcome when space is available.  

Dressed in period costume, children's author Donna Seim shares the story of Charley; the journey of a 12-year-old orphan from the city streets of Boston to the heart of rural Maine in 1910. Imagine life as a child in the 20th century as you try your hand at a game of Ringer marbles, pretend to milk Bessie-the-Cow and investigate the museum’s collection of ice tools. The book’s illustrator Susan Spellman will demonstrate techniques for illustrating books with young artists.

Practically Perfect Poppins Fun!
Thursday, February 20; Drop-in 1 – 3 pm (Included with admission)

Join us for a supercalifragilisticexpialidocious afternoon and make a Mary Poppins-inspired craft—it could be a kite or maybe her carpet bag!  Ages 3 and up.
