Flow Tests Could Discolor, Drop Water Pressure

A flow test is planned in a section of West Wenham next week that could discolor water for a time.

A test of the water system on Burley Street in Wenham next week may cause low pressure and water discoloration.

Versacon LLC sent out a notice on Monday alerting residents that the company will be conducting a fire flow test at 70 Burley St. in Wenham on Wednesday, March 13 at 9 a.m.

The tests are being done in the area of the West Village at Burley Street affordable housing development, near the Danvers town line and Beverly Airport.

Versacon said residents in the area may notice a discoloration of their water and as low pressure. If discoloration occurs, the company suggested running an outside faucet until the water clears.
