1. ELECTRONICS AND APPLIANCES COLLECTION AND RECYCLING

Where/When: Winthrop Elementary School, Hamilton; Saturday, 9 a.m.-2 p.m.
Why Go: It's suppossed to be into the 50s this weekend, whoch means spring has arrived. And with spring comes spring cleaning. This is a great way to get rid of those items that have piled up around the house.
Pricing: Varies, from $ for laptops cameras and toasters to $30 for projection TVs. Almost all items are $5 or $10.
2. GREEN EGGS AND HAM BREAKFAST
Where/When: Italian Community Center (ICC), Beverly; Saturday, 8-11:30 a.m.
Why Go: This breakfast is a celebration of Dr. Seuss's 109th birthday. The Beverly Kiwanis Club is hosting the breakfast and have invited along The Cat in THe Hat and other storybook characters.
Pricing: Adults, $5; Kids, free.
3. COMMUNITY BLOOD DRIVE
Where/When: Cranney Self Storage, Danvers; Friday, 1-6 p.m.
Why Go: Cranney Self-Storage is hosting a community blood drive with the Red Cross. To make an appointment, call 1-800-RedCross or visit www.redcrossblood.org. And if you give blood, you'll get a coupon for a free Griddle Melt at IHOP.

4. OPENING DAY AT THE MEADOW
Where/When: The Meadow at Peabody Golf Course, Peabody; Friday.
Why Go: The city's golf course opens for the 2013 season on Friday with the Front Nine open for play.
Pricing: Spring rates special (cart included) is $40 for 18 holes or $20 for nine holes. Call the Pro Shop for tee times, 978-532-9390.
5. SPRING FLING
Where/When: Old Town Hall, Salem; Saturday, 6-9 p.m.
Why Go: Live music, local food, local artists, beer and wine combine in this 6th annual event with a Roman theme.
Pricing: $30, tickets available at Pamplemousse, Salem Cycle and Witch Doctor.
