Light Turnout Marks Primary With Few Contested Races
Winner Eileen Duff also topped the Democratic Party primary ballot in the only contetsed race in Thursday's primary in Hamilton and Wenham.

Voter turnout was below 10 percent in both Hamilton and Wenham for Thursday's primary election.
Eileen Duff, , topped the primary results in the only contested race in Thursday's primary in Hamilton and Wenham. She won in both the two towns and across the district. She will face Republican Maura L.P. Ciardiello in the November general election.
In Wenham, Duff received 28 votes. David W. Eppley had 20 votes, Donald Bumiller 14 votes and George T. O’Brine received 4 votes.

Duff got 76 votes in Hamilton, besting second place finisher Eppley with 26 votes. Bumiller received 18 votes in Hamilton and O'Brien had 4.

Turnout in Wenham was 6.8 percent with 193 voters going to the polls at .
In Hamilton, 5.8 percent of the town's registered voters went to the polls at . There were 336 votes cast in Hamilton.
While the only contested race was for Governor's Council on the Democratic Party ballot, more Republicans went to the polls in each town.
