1:19 a.m. A female was arrested after a car stop on Bridge Street. Jennifer M. Phinney, 26, of 44 Lafayette Ave., Danvers, was charged with operating under the influence of liquor and marked lanes violation. She was released on $40 cash bail and scheduled to be arraigned in Ipswich District Court on Tuesday. Officer Andrew Neill made the arrest.

11 a.m. Suspicious activity was reported at an Arthur Avenue address.

11:37 a.m. Somebody was taken to the hospital after an animal call to the Schooling fields for a loose horse. The rider was later taken to the hospital.

12:28 p.m. A suspicious vehicle was reported on Dentali Road.

12:29 p.m. Assistance was rendered at the station.

12:56 p.m. A child seat check was conducted at the station.

2:48 p.m. A lockout was handled at a Naples Road address.

3:20 p.m. A motor vehicle crash was investigated on Chebacco Road near the Manchester-by-the-Sea town line. Police said a Jeep driven by Matthew Stetson, 17, of 14 Radcliff Road, in Beverly, struck the dirt should near the Hamilton Landfill and rolled over. Nobody was hurt. The Manchester Police and Fire Department assisted Hamilton Police Sgt. Steve Trepanier. Stetson was issued a ticket for violating his junior operator license by having a passenger in the vehicle.

4:52 p.m. A ticket was issued after a car stop on Bay Road.

5:20 p.m. Traffic control was conducted on Bay Road for the traffic at Patton Park.

5:28 p.m. A motor vehicle complaint came in from Bridge Street.

10:24 p.m. Assistance was rendered at the Patton Park tennis courts.

10:47 p.m. A verbal warning was issued after a car stop on Bay Road.

11:16 a.m. A door or window was found open on the bathhouse at Patton Park.

Saturday, May 19

12 a.m. Two women were injured after a car crash on Essex Street near School Street. Police said that rescue crews used the Jaws of Life to cut the drivers of both vehicles from their cars. Deborah Maffeo, 51, was injured and taken to the hospital. Lisa A. Walsh, 47, of 70 Whitman Ave., Melrose, was injured and taken to the hospital. Walsh will be issued a summons for various charges, including second offense of operating under the influence of liquor, marked lanes violation, speeding, reckless operating of a motor vehicle and operating under the influence of liquor with serious injury resulting.

6:22 a.m. An alarm activation at a Bay Road address was caused by an accidental activation or defective alarm.

7:21 a.m. A fire call was handled at Bay Road and Gardner Street.

12:37 p.m. The was called out to Chebacco Road.

12:54 p.m. A missing person was reported at a Bay Road address.

12:55 p.m. Somebody was taken to the hospital after an ambulance call to a Lake Shore Avenue address.
