To the editor:
On behalf of the board, staff, and volunteers of the Wenham Museum, I would like to thank the North Shore Community for supporting Wenham Museum’s 6th Annual Wenham Museum Heart of the Home Kitchen Tour.
Homeowners from Beverly, Hamilton, Manchester by the Sea and Wenham opened their beautiful kitchens for visitors from around the North Shore on Saturday, October 19, 2013. In providing a private glimpse of contemporary New England life, these families echoed the museum’s educational mission, to explore daily family life on the North Shore from the 17th century to today.
Thank you to our gracious hosts including: Terri Whitney, Lindsay and Peter Strong, Sharon and Andy Myers, Susan and Jeffrey Parker,Tracey and Sam Byrne, Elizabeth and Louise Caprio, and Martha and Howard Winrow; to our generous sponsors: By the Sea Sotheby’s (lead sponsor); Northshore Magazine and North Shore 104.9 Radio (media sponsors); Carriagetown Kitchens, Kristina Crestin Design LLC, Eastgate Garden Design LLC, Jeffreys Creek, Meadowview Construction, New Leaf Redesign, Olson Lewis +, Margaret Belmonte/ REMAX, and Elizabeth Swartz Interiors, Inc. (Kitchen Tour sponsors); to our friends at the Wenham Tea House and Dawson’s; and to all those who purchased tickets and enjoyed the tour.
We would like to thank everyone that supported us through purchasing an ad in our ticket booklet: Designer Bath, The Housewright Co. , Mantra Yoga, Coastal Windows & Exteriors, LMK Interiors, Ltd and, Wilson Kelsey Design, Inc.
Community support has sustained the Wenham Museum and its mission to preserve and exhibit the treasures of childhood and history and culture of Boston’s North Shore since 1922. The generosity of our community allows the museum to offer affordable admission and membership and to continue serving 35,000 visitors and 3,500 school children each year through educational programs, exhibitions, and events. We hope you return to the museum to enjoy our fall exhibits, Fab Fads: Fifty Years of Fabulous Fads, Crowning Glory: A Hat for All Seasons and Playtimes and Pastimes of Colonial Children. We are deeply grateful for your support.
Sincerly,
Kristin Noon
Wenham Museum Executive Director
