Wenham Seniors Can Get Ice-Gripping Shoe Accessory at Half Price
Yak Trax are being offered top Wenham senior citizens at half price.
Wenham residents are being offered winter traction devices for their shoes at half price.
The Wenham Council on Aging is selling neon green Yak Trax for $7, about half of the normal price. The COA has 50 pairs available in size small, medium and large. The Yak Trax are being made available at a discount by the Friends of the Wenham Council on Aging.
The "handy little grabbers" slip over shoes or boots to provide traction outside in snowy or icy weather, the COA said when it announced the offer on Thursday. The winter traction devices are being offered to Wenham seniors because of "a sincere wish to improve senior safety during winter months," the COA said.
Senior who want a pair are asked to call 978-468-5534 or stop by the Wenham Senior Center to buy a pair. The Yak Traz have been available for the past week and more are still available. If the existing supply sells out, the Council on Aging will consider buying more.
