Villanova University

To qualify, one must be a matriculated full-time student and earn a semester grade point average of at least 3.5.

St. Lawrence University

Emily C. von, of Hingham, was presented with the ACE Outstanding Leadership Award at Moving-Up Day ceremonies held April 28 at St. Lawrence University in Canton, New York. Moving-Up Day celebrates student achievements in academics and co-curricular activities. It is a campus tradition dating from 1869, when it began as "Tree Holiday," to add trees to the campus landscape.

Connecticut College

Hingham resident Claire von Loesecke was elected to the SGA Chair of Residential Affairs at Connecticut College. Claire is a freshman at Connecticut College and has been elected Student Government Association chair of residential affairs for the 2012-2013 academic year.

As chair of residential affairs, von Loesecke will oversee the House Council, which establishes a budget and oversees all financial transactions for the various dormitories on campus.

Von Loesecke, a 2011 graduate of Hingham High School, is the daughter of David and Karen von Loesecke of Hingham.

Fontbonne Academy

Hingham resident Kathleen Ryan  earned First Honors on Fontbonne Academy’s Third Quarter Honor Roll. Ryan is a freshman at Fontbonne in Milton.

Washington and Lee University

Alexandra Shabo of Hingham, MA, a member of the class of 2012 at Washington and Lee University, has earned dean's list status for the recently ended winter 2012 term.

Dean's list status at Washington and Lee represents a term grade-average of at least 3.4 on a 4.0 scale.

Keene State College

Kristy Carlson  of Hingham graduated from Keene State College on May 5. Keene State College's Commencement honored its biggest-ever graduating class. A total of 1,196 degrees were awarded to 1,107 students.
