All Hingham Alumni Invited to One Giant Reunion

First ever Hingham High All Alumni & Friends Reunion will be at the Quincy Marriott on Aug. 13

Tickets are still available for one of the largest of all time.

Every graduating class from 1929 to 2010 is invited to the first ever at the Quincy Marriott on Aug. 13. Only 135 tickets remain for the one night event, which will include a large variety of appetizers, a cash bar and a live DJ.   A maximum number of 500 people is expected to be present at the reunion as already 365 tickets have been reserved by Alumni for the special reunion.

 The event is run by the All Alumni Hingham High School Reunion Committee, named "The Alumni Wizards," made up of several alumni including Rob Thornton, '76; Stacey McNamee, '82; Nick Roundtree, '74; and Lauri Remes Byer,'74.  The Committee has been organizing the reunion since last September.

Together the  “Alumni Wizards” have created a Facebook page last July where graduates can submit old high school photos. They have been running the HHS alumni website since 2001 and since that time, many classes have asked about organizing one big Alumni event.

“This is an all-alumni reunion for everyone who ever graduated from ,” said Thornton.  “We plan to have a lot of Hingham events set up.”

The Alumni Wizards said the guests vary in ages and some family are coming together.

“We have some coming who had the grandfather  graduating in 53’ the son graduating in 73’ and [his] kids graduating in 93’,” Thornton said.

The reunion will have a Decade Bulletin Board set up and Alumni are asked to bring old photographs that they can post on these bulletin board. The Alumni Wizards are currently  in the process of digitizing all of the yearbooks at the which they will present at the event.

The price of the tickets are $65 each online and $75 each at the door.
