Boston Red Sox Summer Camp Coming to Hingham
The one week camp will be held at Hingham High School from August 13-17 and will teach the children, ages 5 to 13, baseball skills along with providing them with fun activities throughout the week..
The Boston Red Sox will bring their baseball summer camp to Hingham this August.
The official summer camp of the Boston Red Sox will be held from August 13-17 for both boys and girls ages 5 to 13 at .
Children who sign up will get the chance to meet and spend time with Red Sox mascot, Wally the Green Monster, see the World Series trophies, wear their own Red Sox uniform including a hat, jersey, pant, socks and belt, and participate in the annual on-field Camper Parade during a home game at the end of the summer at Fenway Park.

Although Red Sox players will be on the road during the Hingham camp week, campers will get the opportunity to take an exclusive tour of Fenway Park which includes a special view of the press box and the “warning track” near the Big Green Monster.
Brendan Sullivan, the President of Boston Red Sox Baseball Summer Camps said the camp meets the needs of children of all skill levels. He said it’s not only perfect for young ball players but also perfect for older players looking to develop their skills.

“The point of the camp is not to develop a major league shortstop, it’s to develop their real love for the game,” Sullivan said.
Boston Red Sox Baseball Summer Camps, will be run by a mixture of educated instructors including former professional and college players, local high school and college baseball coaches, teachers, and educational grad students.
Sullivan said campers will not only be taught fundamental baseball skills, but they will also learn how to respect the game and respect the umpires.
This is Boston Red Sox Baseball Summer Camps second year, and this will be the first summer they come to Hingham.
“We are excited to come to Hingham and we hope to make this an annual thing,” Sullivan said.
Sullivan expects the registration for the camps to fill quickly and recommends parents sign their children up as soon as possible.
