Foster School Brings Wonderment and Awe to Hingham Square

Foster students placed posters in Hingham Square on Wednesday of what brings them wonderment and awe. They displayed their posters and ate ice cream as part of their end of the year celebration.

For Dennis Johnson, a  fourth grade student at Chinese Round Robin Day was his favorite day of the school year.  Dennis said learning different crafts in each of the classrooms  that day was very exciting and fun. Second grade student Brenna O’Leary’s favorite moment of the year was making a shark poster. Foster student Leo Burm enjoyed sports, snakes and a trip to Boston.

As part of their end of the year celebration, Foster teachers asked their students to describe what brought them wonderment an awe.  The students portrayed it on a poster board and on Wednesday in Hingham Square, each Foster class placed their designs in a different business for the people of Hingham to view.

Mrs. Monica Matthews’s fourth grade class had pictures of windmills, China Town and Olympic games on her poster, while Mrs. Caroline Bixby’s class drew themselves flying over their favorite destinations while tying it in with a book they read this year, “Tar Beach” by Faith Ringgold.
