At last week's school committee meeting, the Hingham High School Rowing  requested to be considered new varsity sport. Currently, the Hingham Crew team is a club team and is not included within the annual school athletics budget. Despite only being introduced into the curriculum in 2006, Hingham Rowing has already seen success on the water and are looking to push the program to new heights despite not having access to the same bad weather training facilities as more established sports activities. Hingham Crew is now accepting donations from Hingham residents.
