Hingham Girls' Tennis Team Advances to Final Four in State Tournament

With a win on Monday, the HHS girls' tennis team has reached the semi-finals of the State Team Tennis Division 2 Tournament .

The Hingham High School girls’ tennis team is moving on  to the semi finals of the State Team Tennis Division 2 Tournament after defeating  Somerset -Berkley Girls Tennis, 5-0 on Monday

In the victory,  Hingham swept singles and doubles competitions.

Senior  Julia Krumholz defeated  Somerset –Berkley’s   Ali Vautrin  6-2, 6-1,  Delaney Dunlap of Hingham was victorious over Lindsey Macedo 6-1, 7-5, and  Hingham’s Danielle Vanzura earned a win over Jessica d'Entreanmont   6-4, 6-2.

In doubles,  the Hingham duo Nikki Lund and Kristen Ferrucci defeated Kelsey Duff and Bo Roman from Somerset -Berkley 6-4, 6-0 and Maxine Bergstein and Ashland Stansbury from Hingham defeated Kelsey Gray and Kendra Ford  from Somerset -Berkley 6-4, 7-5.

The Hingham High School girls’ tennis team is the number two seed in the tournament.  In the first round they earned a bye and in the second round they swept Silver Lake, 5-0.  Next up, the Harborwomen will battle the No.3  ranked Hopkinton on Wednesday.  Hopkinton  defeated each of their first two opponents by a score of 5-0.
