Hingham High School Seniors Invited to Walk the Red Carpet Before Prom

Photographer George Loring will be at the Hingham Harbor from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Thursday to take prom photos of couples and friends in the Bandstand.

Before Thursday night’s senior prom at Granite Links in Quincy,  students are invited to show off their dresses and tuxes at a gathering for photos at the Hingham Harbor.

Photographer George Loring will be at the Harbor from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Thursday to take prom photos of couples and friends in the Bandstand.

HHS Principal Paula Girouard-McCann is advising all vehicles, busses and limousines that will be transporting prom-goers to enter the Bandstand parking lot by the driveway closest to Stars, near Redeye Roasters.

Each year the high school organizes a traffic flow from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and asks vehicles to drive to the parking aisle closest to the water and take a left towards the Bandstand.   The driver  is asked to stop with the passenger side of the car facing the gravel walkway in front of the Bandstand and then proceed right out of the lot and head North on Route 3A  and park in the other Bathing Beach parking lot.  Students will then meet their drivers after photos.

Hingham residents, friends and family members are invited to attend the photo-shoot and get a glimpse at the students before they head to prom.
