Hingham Middle School Students Could Receive Less Homework in Future

Hingham Middle School Principal Roger Boddie said parents have requested less homework for their children.

students’ wishes could soon come true. Less homework could be in store for them, according to HMS Principal Roger Boddie.

At last Monday’s School Committee meeting, Boddie said the results of a recent survey showed that that Hingham Middle School parents have requested less homework for their children. The survey was issued earlier this year to parents.

“Parents feel there is too much homework,” Boddie said. “They want more quality time with their family.”

Boddie said the school will consider the parents’ request and will work on developing something that will fit the need of the students as well as the calmness of the household.
