Hingham Residents Earn College Degrees: June 20 Edition

The following Hingham students earned college degrees and Dean's List honors from their colleges.

Connecticut College
The following local residents were awarded bachelor of arts degrees from Connecticut College at the 94th commencement ceremony on May 20:

• Jennifer Cochrane of Hingham majored in economics and psychology.

• John Lenehan of Hingham majored in economics.

• Catherine Mullaley of Hingham majored in history.

Keynote speaker, Louis B. Susman, the U.S. ambassador to the Court of St. James in London and father of Sally Susman, a 1984 graduate, urged the 437 members of Connecticut College's Class of 2012 to leverage their technological savvy to make their mark on the world.

University of Massachusetts Dartmouth

The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth undergraduate commencement was on May 27. An estimated 1,573 graduates received degrees.

Roxana Saberi, an award-winning author, journalist, and human rights advocate who was jailed by the Iranian regime in 2009, delivered the 112th Commencement address.

Providence College

The following local residents were among over 900 students from Providence College who received undergraduate degrees during the College's Ninety-Fourth Commencement Exercises held on Sunday, May 20, 2012:

Katelyn Collins, a resident of Hingham, MA, received a bachelor's degree in Sociology, Summa Cum Laude.

Lauren Czorniak, a resident of Hingham, MA, received a bachelor's degree in Global Studies, Cum Laude.

Margaret Maguire, a resident of Hingham, MA, received a bachelor's degree in Psychology and History.

Allison Nevins, a resident of Hingham, MA, received a bachelor's degree in Marketing, Cum Laude.
