Hingham Residents Earn College Degrees: June 19 Edition

Saint Michael's College

The following local residents graduated from Saint Michael's College during the 105th commencement exercises held on the college campus May 14th:

Garrett Buice Clark, son of Nancy Gunshanan of Hingham graduated with a Bachelor of Science, magna cum laude degree in Business Administration and Accounting

Jessica Lynne Halpin, daughter of Mary and Thomas Halpin of Hingham graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration

Abigail Havener Monahan, daughter of Kenneth and Nancy Monahan of Hingham graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and Anthropology.

Skidmore

Sabrina Lumbert of Hingham received a BS degree  from Skidmore.

Skidmore's Class of 2012, totaling 627 baccalaureate candidates, participated in the College's 101st Commencement Saturday, May 19, at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center.

University of Vermont

Vadim Petrov-Kondratov of Hingham, MA received a Doctor of Medicine at Commencement ceremonies held at the University of Vermont on May 20, 2012.

The university conferred degrees this year on an estimated 3,202 graduates, including 2,552 bachelor's, 429 master's, 94 doctoral, and 114 M.D. degree recipients, in addition to 13 post-baccalaureate certificates. Among degree recipients were students from 39 states and 22 countries.

Some 2,552 students were awarded a variety of bachelor's degrees during the University of Vermont's 209th Commencement ceremonies on May 20. There were some 536 advanced degrees and certificates awarded by the UVM Graduate College and approximately 114 women and men took the oath of Hippocrates following the awarding of their M.D. degrees at ceremonies of the UVM College of Medicine. A list of local students and the degree earned by each follows:

Katherine E. Hughes of Hingham, MA, received a Bachelor of Arts in English.

Matthew T. Marshall of Hingham, MA, received a Bachelor of Science in Community Entrepreneurship.

Molly J. McDermott of Hingham, MA, received a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Preschool.

Chelsea A. O'Neil of Hingham, MA, received a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Preschool.

Colin J. Robichaud of Hingham, MA, received a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration.

Maggie T. Ryan of Hingham, MA, received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.
