Hingham Residents Earn Honors and Awards
A look at some awards and honors Hingham residents are earning in and out of the classroom.
Saint Michael's College
Garrett Clark of Hingham graduated and earned the top scholar-athlete award at Saint Michael's College. During Commencement Week activities May 11-14 at Saint Michael's College, Garrett Clark, son of Nancy Gunshanan of Hingham, MA and of William Clark of Scituate, MA, graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration and accounting, Magna Cum Laude, and received the Roger F. Keleher Memorial Award, presented to the top male and female scholar-athletes in the class.

The following local residents were among the Union College students honored at the school's annual Prize Day celebration:
Philip Barr, of Hingham, MA was awarded the Thomas J. Judson (1966) Memorial Book Prize, given to a sophomore who has shown academic excellence as well as sincere interest in the study of modern languages.

Brian Karimi-Pashaki, of Hingham, MA was awarded the Milton Hymes Sternfeld (1916) Prize, given for the best original essay in philosophy by a member of the senior class. He was also awarded the Albert Hill Recognition Award, given to a senior who has held leadership positions and demonstrated exceptional commitment to enhancing the college community.
Hingham Student Earns Top Spot at Fieldstone Show Park Spring Festival 2012
Tess Lenihan of Hingham impressed judges in May with high scores of 80 and 90 in the $3,000 Woodridge Farm Pony Hunter Classic in the Derby Field at Fieldstone Show Park's Spring Festival in Halifax, MA. Lenihan and her pony, Stiletto, surpassed a field of 16 to capture the top.
