seniors have until Friday to apply for scholarships. Seniors can find scholarships at the High School Counseling Office or on the <a href="http://hinghamschools.com/index.asp?site=1" rel="noopener nofollow" target="_blank">school's webpage.</a> All applications must be submitted to the school by 3:00 p.m. and they will not be collected after the March 9 deadline. Unlike past years, the scholarship applications have not been mailed home to families, however Hingham High School Principal Dr. Paula Girouard-McCann did email them to high school parents on Monday afternoon as a last minute reminder. Hingham seniors will be presented with scholarships at the Senior Awards Night on May 29.  Last year, from the class of 2011 received a combined total of $292,000 in scholarship funds, which represented a $20,000 increase from the class of 2010. All of the money last year was donated by local businesses, town organizations, and memorial funds. Students were selected for these awards on the basis of academic achievement, athletic achievement, outstanding work in a particular subject, career interests, and school involvement and many students were recipients of multiple awards.
