Hingham Students Complete Trooper Program

students Jesse Conway  and Conner MacKay  completed the Massachusetts State Police Student Trooper Program.

The Student Trooper Program, sponsored by the American Legion, is an intensive 5 day residential training program held at the State Police Academy in New Braintree for ages 15-17.

State Police trainers provide classroom and hands-on training in topics such as First Aid/CPR, Criminal Law, Officer Safety, Crime Scene Investigations, Safe Driving, Leadership, Internet Safety, Team Building, and Physical Fitness.

Student Troopers also participate in demonstrations of specialty units such as tactical teams, K-9 Unit and Air Wing. 

Conway is entering her junior year and MacKay is entering his senior year at HHS.
