Hingham Students Win MWRA Writing and Poster Contests
Three Hingham students were honored for their writing and posters.
Massachusetts Water Resources Authority is pleased to announce that three Hingham students are winners of the 30th Annual Poster and Writing Contests.
seniors Nicole Woody and Ben Perkins received Honorable Mention in the writing contest.
second grader Ava Clancy received Honorable Mention in the poster contest.

This year, students across the MWRA service area were challenged to write essays on the topic of 'What a Clean Boston Harbor Means to Me,' and to create posters about water conservation.
MWRA received more than 1,100 posters as well over 600 essays.

A ceremony honoring the winning students and their teachers was held at Deer Island on May 28. More than 250 people attended.
The Poster and Writing Contests are part of the MWRA’s School Education Program that educates students and teachers about the public health significance of water supply and wastewater treatment.
