Middle schoolers, register to ride and/or fundraise for the PMC Hingham Kids Ride to benefit Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Sunday, June 12 from 9:00 a.m. – noon at Wompatuck State Park.

Foster to get Hydration Station

The PTO recently voted to donate $500 toward the purchase of a “Hydration Station” for the Foster school cafeteria, for students to fill their water bottles during the school day. Total cost will be approximately $2,200, with remaining funds coming from the principal’s fund, the 5th grade parting gift, and an HEF grant being sought for this purpose. 

Foster Third Graders to Unveil Story Quilt on June 7

Foster third graders are working on a special Art Enrichment project this week. They are learning about the artist Faith Ringgold and her story quilt, ‘Tar Beach.” The students are going to write their own story, draw a picture and create their own story quilt which will be displayed at the Recorder Concert on June 7. 

St. Paul Students meet “Angels in the Outfield” Director

Seventh and eighth grade students at recently hosted Holly Goldberg Sloan. She is a Hollywood screenwriter, director, and producer, with "Angels in the Outfield" as her best-known film.  Sloan's first novel for young adults, "I'll Be There," was recently published, and St. Paul School was the first stop on her book tour. 

Forms, Fees Required for Senior Night

Seniors who plan to attend Senior Night on June 4 must submit appropriate forms and fees by June 1 (that’s tomorrow!)  Forms and fees can be dropped off in the high school’s main office or mailed to Suzie MacKay, 1 Springwood Drive, Hingham. Forms and fees will not be accepted at the door during the event.    

In addition, more chaperones are needed for the overnight shifts for Senior Night, as well as a few more dealers for the casino. Contact Suzie MacKay for chaperoning or Melissa Flanagan to volunteer as a dealer (training provided.)
