Twenty-seven choral members recently boarded a bus and headed south for a new choral exchange program with the Dutchess Day School in Millbrook, N.Y. Staying with host families, these sixth, seventh and eighth graders had a rare opportunity to rehearse and perform with other students and conductors in a collaborative, creative environment.

“It was very cool how three choirs that have never met before could come together and make such beautiful music,” said Kelsey Farden of Hingham. “Musically, I learned how fun it was to sing with a very large choir, how great the harmonies sound and how challenging it is to perform under a different conductor.”
