Making the Grade: Top Back to School Supplies
Some of the top back to school supplies to help your child excel this school year.
Next Tuesday, Hingham students will be gearing up to head back to school. Part of helping them to make the grade this year is making sure they have the necessary back to school supplies.
As for trends in school supplies, some of you may remember years ago when the Trapper Keeper was one of the hottest school supplies out there. Well this year there are some hot trends too.
Karen Pevenstein, Spokeswoman for Staples said some hot trends include Glitter Better Binders which are collorful binders for students.

While some families might be struggling due to the economy, Staples also has some deals.
“We are certainly sensitive to the economy and know our customers want great deals which we can deliver," Pevenstein said. "Our savings pass is available for purchase for $10 and you save 15 percent on supplies all season long until Sept 17.”

Or if you would like to help out a family in need, Staples has set up a program for families who would like to make a donation.
Pevenstein provided Patch with a list of top supplies that students should not start school without:
Elementary School: Twisted Erasers, Sneaker Pencil Pouch and YakPak Animal Print Backpack.
Middle School: Glam Rocks collection (bedazzled scissors, staplers, etc), animal flash drives and animal print erasers.
High School: Laptops, Glitter Better Binders and Backpack Folders.
