
The Notre Dame Academy Class of 2011 will graduate tonight at 5 p.m. on the school’s Hingham campus on Main Street.
This year Notre Dame will graduate 138 seniors, 13 of which are from Hingham.
According to Notre Dame’s Director of Communications Katie Quinn Miller, Notre Dame’s 158th graduating class will include seniors from 27 communities who have been accepted at 172 different colleges around the nation and abroad.

This year’s alumnae speaker will be Mk Haley, class of 1986. Haley is a pioneer in entertainment technology. Christine Higgins of Weymouth was also chosen, via an anonymous essay contest, to be the student graduation speaker.
Last night, the graduation celebration began with Baccalaureate. At the conclusion of the liturgy, the Class of 2011 participated in one of Notre Dame Academy’s most treasured traditions, when each soon-to-be-graduate will be presented her Notre Dame Academy medallion by her alumnae sponsor – sisters, mothers, family members, friends or beloved faculty members who have already graduated from the Academy.
