PHOTOS: South Students Enjoy An Afternoon Skate
South School held a family skate Wednesday afternoon to raise money for their Playground Fund.
Although temperatures reached 60 degrees on Wednesday afternoon, students preferred to be on the ice.
Over 20 South students attended the school’s family skate to raise money for the Playground Fund which will be used to improve their soccer field, playground and recess area.

Sinead Carty, Caroline Tolton, Cara Keane, Chase McKenna, Charlie Even, Colleen Leary, Ashley Buckeridge, Brian Lennon, Hermela Mekonen and Bradley Goodwin, a group of third and first grade students at South, said they enjoyed being with friends on the ice.
“We’re all friends and we help each other skate,” Carty said.

The event turned out to be a fun afternoon activity for the students who had an early release day on Wednesday.
