South School Appoints New Principal

Hingham Public Schools announced today that Mary Eastwood will be appointed the new Principal.

Eastwood will replace Eliza Burns who has taken the principal's position at the Cole School in Norwell.

In an email to parents, Hingham Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Dorothy Galo said she will make announcement at tonight's school committee meeting as well.

In her past, Eastwood has served as a fifth grade teacher and team leader at South School.
