Two Hingham Students Win Awards in String Competition at South Shore Conservatory
South Shore Conservatory congratulates Hingham string students John Gillig and Nate Webber.

The congratulates Hingham string students John Gillig and Nate Webber for winning awards at the Conservatory’s 2nd annual String Competition on May 7. The competition is open to Conservatory private string students and students who participate in SSC’s Bay Youth Symphony.
A Violin student of Katherine Roussopolous, Gillig came in second in Division Three, while Webber, a student of violin instructor and String Department Chair Phil Rush, took third place in Division Two. All students who placed received a medal and a gift certificate. Those who placed first won SSC scholarships. All winners were invited to perform in a concert the evening of the competition.
