Community Mourns Star Athlete Killed in Crash
Winchester High School senior Pat Gill was killed in a crash Saturday morning.

The Winchester community on Sunday gathered to honor a star athlete killed in a crash the day before.
Pat Gill, 17, was killed after police said he crashed his vehicle on Manomet Road in Winchester at about 7 a.m. Authorities have not said what may have caused the crash.
Gill played hockey, lacrosse, and was the captain of Winchester High School’s football team.

“(His family is) being as strong as they possibly can in this awful situation,” football coach Wally Dembowski told WHDH.
On Sunday, a vigil was held at the high school.

“Give him two seconds and you’d feel like you knew him your whole life,” friend Kevin Diarbakerly told WCVB. “He was just one of those kids.”
A funeral will be held Friday 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church in Winchester.
