Western Greenway history

 THE WESTERN GREENWAY: From concept to halfway complete, how a group of citizens worked together for over a decade to create an 1100 acre greenway and trail system in Waltham, Lexington and Belmont.  Presenter: Roger Wrubel, director, Mass Audubon Habitat Wildlife Sanctuary. The Belmont Citizens Forum named Roger Citizen of the Decade for his perseverance in protecting the Western Greenway. Co-sponsored by Sustainable Belmont, Citizens for Lexington Conservation, Belmont Citizens Forum, and Waltham Land Trust. 7 – 8:30 p.m.

 Location: in the middle of the Western Greenway, Avalon at Lexington Hills, Metropolitan Parkway North (GPS: 60 Concord Ave).  Follow signs to the office.
