Join Laura Lapointe on a poignant, earnest, playful artistic exploration of how there may be a lot more to finding good work than finding a good job. Anyone who has ever been unemployed, under-employed or unhappily employed will relate to familiar moments that reveal how amazing it is that any of us actually negotiate and/or succeed within this sometimes ridiculous process called a career. From the pangs of perceived inadequacy to the promise of hard-won perspective, Laura exposes the inner experiences of one in the job search trenches. You just might leave feeling refreshed and ready to put on your own work boots and set out on your unique purposeful path, regardless of what your job is or isn’t.
A former student of retired LHS drama teacher Steven Bogart, Laura holds a BFA in Acting from NYU, a Master of Divinity from Andover Newton Theological School, and several other items and experiences of dubious meaning and worth. In one year she went on 40 job interviews and ended up working in a prison. Question and answer session to follow the performance.
