Lexington Declares May As Mental Health Awareness Month

The theme for 2020 is "Screen to end the stigma."

LEXINGTON, MA — Lexington declared May as mental health month through a town proclamation. This year's theme for the month is "Screen To End the Stigma." The town offers free mental health screenings for residents.

Lexington's mental health screening is a quick, free, and private way to assess your mental health and recognize signs of mental health problems.

While the online tools are a convenient way to asses your mental health, the town reminds residents that online screening tools are meant to be a quick snapshot of your mental health. If your results indicate you may be experiencing symptoms of a mental illness, please share your results with a mental health provider (such as a doctor or a therapist) who can give you a full assessment and talk to you about options for how to feel better.
