Lexington Town Buildings Will Remain Closed From December 14 Until January 10, 2021
Essential in-person services provided by the Police, Fire, Public Works, and Public Facilities Departments will continue uninterrupted.

Effective Monday, December 14, 2020 and continuing through at least Sunday, January 10, 2021, all Town buildings (with the exception of the Police Station) will be closed to the public. Due to rising case numbers across Massachusetts, and for the safety of the public and Town staff, we are no longer able to be open to the public by appointment.

As was the case at the beginning of the pandemic, Town staff who have approval from their Department Head will be working remotely and will continue to provide the same high level of service that our residents and businesses have come to expect. Essential in-person services provided by the Police, Fire, Public Works, and Public Facilities Departments will continue uninterrupted.

Department-Specific Updates
Cary Library will be suspending curbside services as of Monday, December 14, 2020 and will return to virtual services. All non-essential staff, as determined by the Library Director or designee, will work remotely. This decision will be revisited at the January 6, 2021 meeting of the Executive Board of the Library Trustees.
The Visitors Center will remain open through December 30 and will be in compliance with State guidelines. The building will reopen to the public in spring 2021.
Nomination papers for the March Annual Town Election, and materials for Citizen Petitions for Annual Town Meeting, will still be available through the Town Clerk’s Office. Email clerk@lexingtonma.gov, or call 781-698-4558 for additional information.
