Police Log: Verizon Picketers
The following information from August 8-11 was provided by the Lexington Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Monday, August 8
8:34 a.m - A FedEx truck driver called in to report picketers blocking his way onto Forbes Road near Marrett Street. Police arrived and found the picketers, who were not Verizon picketers, crossing the street and not breaking any laws.
10:55 a.m -An employee at the Verizon store at 1849 Mass Ave. reported picketers blocking the entrance to his door. Police arrived and found the protesters were not in fact blocking the entrance.

12:33 p.m - The same employee called the police again complaining that the protesters were being a disturbance and causing him to get no business at the store. Officers arrived and again found no fault with the protestors' actions.
1:44 p.m - A driver of a Verizon truck reported being harassed by protestors away from the store at a location on Woburn Street and Rumford Road.

4:33 p.m - No cars were no towed and no injuries sustained in a two-vehicle accident on Mass. Ave. and Depot Square.
Tuesday, August 9
9:32 a.m -A woman called in to report that someone had tried to break into her house on April Lane over the weekend. Officers found damage to a window screen upon arrival, but no entry had been gained.
10:50 a.m - A routine traffic stop resulted in the arrest of Matthew Wright for a standing warrant for an aggravated assault in Lowell. Wright was also cited for driving with an expired license.
11:00 a.m - A 20-year-old woman was arrested for disorderly conduct after standing in the way of her boyfriend's car that was being towed as part of a larceny investigation.
1:22 p.m - One driver was cited in a two-car accident on Bedford and Winter Streets. No cars were towed.
10:19 p.m - A raccoon was hit by a car on Maple Street near Solomon Pierce Road. The raccoon was dead by the time animal control arrived.
10:24 p.m - After a confrontation with a tow truck driver, a suspect from a larceny investigation earlier that day was chased by police into Arlington, where he got away. Police have identified the suspect.
Wednesday, August 10
1:00 a.m - Police found a bag of coins discarded from a vehicle on Howard Monroe Place.
10:28 a.m - The owner of a home on Mass. Ave reported disturbing protesters who had followed a Verizon truck to her home, where they were doing work. Police again found the protestors not in violation of any laws.
11:07 a.m - Another report came in of Verizon workers being harassed, this time at a home on Maple Street.
5:24 p.m - A Lincoln Street resident reported that someone had made a 6-inch scratch mark on the rear passenger door of her car while she was parked at the Hayden Recreation Center.
9:45 p.m - A man reported that, sometime between 6 and 7:45 p.m, an apple iPhone and a wallet had been taken from his locked truck parked in front of Boston Sports Clubs on Bedford Street.
Thursday, August 11
1:07 a.m - A report came in of a tree limb down on East Street.
9:32 a.m - A man crashed his car into Vine Brook Bottle Shop on Mass. Ave, causing minor damage to the car and to the building. No injuries were sustained and the man's car was towed.
11:02 a.m - Someone reported that their car had been struck while they were parked at the KFC on Bedford Street overnight. Police found damage to the passenger side door.
2:46 p.m - A two-car accident took place on the Route 128 exit ramp near Bedford Street. No injuries occurred and neither car was towed.
