Progressive Democrats of Massachusetts Endorse Mary Ann Stewart
Second Endorsement by Leading Progressive Organization for Stewart's Campaign

Mary Ann Stewart, Democratic candidate for State Representative in the 15th Middlesex district, received the endorsement of the Progressive Democrats of Massachusetts (PDM). PDM joins Mass Alliance in supporting Stewart’s campaign.
“I’m proud to earn the support of leading progressive organizations such as the Progressive Democrats of Massachusetts,” said Stewart. “The gathering support I’ve received will help us continue to grow our campaign for bold progressive leadership.”
PDM is a statewide network of progressive activists, dedicated to promoting economic, social, and environmental justice, truly democratic government, and progressive values in Massachusetts. Active since 2003, PDM pursues these goals through sustained grassroots work on issues at the state and local level, supporting progressive candidates, and enhancing the capacity and effectiveness of activists through trainings, network building, and collaboration with other progressive organizations.
Stewart has been touting her progressive credentials in the campaign, making note of her extensive work on education equity through the Board of Elementary and Secondary Education (BESE) and the National PTA. She’s been a longtime activist in Lexington, working to oppose the repeal of the state income tax in 2008 and leading on better funding options for public transportation and public education.
