Community Announcement: Community Preservation Committee now accepting applications for FY 2028 (lexobserver.org) — Lexington residents and organizations can now apply for Community Preservation Act funding for the FY 2028 cycle, with applications due November 2. Eligible projects include open space, historic resources, recreation, and community housing. Details, forms, and guidance are available on the town's Community Preservation Committee webpage or by calling the CPC office.

4. Lexington Police Department K9s Maisey and Watson Have Received Donation of Body Armor (lexingtontimesmagazine.com) — Lexington residents can be reassured that police K9s Maisey and Watson now have new bullet- and stab-resistant vests, donated by the nonprofit Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. The Massachusetts-based charity has equipped thousands of police dogs nationwide, and continues to seek donations and volunteers to expand protection for working K9s like Lexington's own four-legged officers.
   

5. Tips to Catch the Best of New England's Fall Foliage, Festivals (gcnews.com) — If you're planning leaf-peeping close to home, Lexington and neighboring Concord are highlighted as some of Massachusetts' best Revolutionary-era spots to enjoy peak fall color.
