Scott Bokun Announces Run for Lexington School Committee

Former Educator is running for a spot on Lexington School Committee

Scott Bokun announced today that he is running for a spot on the Lexington School Committee. A Lexington resident since 1995, Mr. Bokun has served in Town Meeting since 2015 and is clerk of the Town Meeting Members Association. He taught pre-school at Hancock Nursery School for 13 years. Currently, he works as a legal assistant for The Law Firm of Scott D. Goldberg, P.C.

"Giving our children what they need to succeed is vital," said Bokun. "As a teacher, a town meeting member, and youth organizer, I have been driven to support families in helping their children learn and grow to become the best they can be."

Bokun states that there are many decisions and issues facing the community, including growing enrollments, the logistics of replacing the high school, reducing student stress, and addressing diversity and inclusion. He is a team player who pays attention to details and seeks out differing points of view. He looks forward to working with the new superintendent and community to help propel the Lexington Public School System and the children it serves to achieve its full potential.
